The top beauty gurus on YouTube are becoming more and more famous from their videos. They go out to shop, traveling and their subscriber fans are stopping them in the streets for photos and to chat.
Well, I have been watching beauty videos on YouTube for over two years and I am in internet marketing and sales and I know how our beauty gurus are bringing home the bacon. I have watched some of my favorites start on YouTube and over time have had a lifestyle change, able to stay at home, travel all over the world regularly, build or move into new homes, shop to they drop, and so much more.
Many beauty gurus have made their channels their real business and are raking in the big bucks. I'm proud of the beauty gurus because constantly making videos take alot of work. Gurus definitely should not let companies take advantage of them and not feel guilty about getting paid for their time and to introduce products and services to their subscribers.
Below I'm going to break down how beauty gurus are making money on YouTube and going to the next level:
- Google Adsense - When you watch videos you will usually see a commercial or ad before and sometimes a second one during the video because gurus check in their account to monetize most or all videos. These companies are paying Google an undisclosed amount to show their ads on videos that relate to their companies. The gurus or any YouTuber gets paid by how many views that particular video gets. So you can only imagine those that have well over 100,000 views on each video, especially if they do several videos a week.
-Affiliate Programs - Sometimes gurus put links to stores in the description box under the video and in their blogs and ask you to click on a short url address. Most gurus have links to sites that they refer to you that have a code in it and the guru can get paid if you just click on the link, sign up to something or make a purchase.
-Blogs - Many gurus have blogs and some of their blogs get just as much traffic as their videos if they keep it up to date. On these blogs are paid ads in the sidebars, header or footer. Sometimes they are filled with affiliate program links in the sidebars and within the text as well.
-Sponsor Products/Services - Sometimes when you hear a guru talk about a product they may be getting paid to try the product or service then give their opinion about it on their video. Being a sponsor may happen for only that one time or whenever they decide to send something out.
-Company Representative - Many gurus have contracts with beauty, hair and clothing companies. The companies offer the gurus a contract to get paid on a regular basis to try items, introduce new items, announce and attend events, etc. This is great because it's a continuous paycheck.
- Local Companies - Many local companies like restaurants, retail stores and more are reaching out to beauty gurus to get a review in one of their videos and they agree to pay a fee.
-Gurus Selling Their Own Products - Gurus are getting smart especially those with hundreds of thousands and even millions of subscribers about selling their own products. Many gurus have their own online stores, created their own hair and beauty products to sell to their massive subscriber list and whoever else finds them.
- Magazines & Interviews - Many beauty gurus appear in fashion and beauty magazines and give interviews. To appear in magazines and videos gurus usually get free travel and hotel and get paid for their time.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with any YouTuber making money as long as your true to your subscribers. Most are super serious about what they do on YouTube and have turned their beauty and fashion channels into a real business.
